Position Summary


The Indian Residential School Survivors Society (IRSSS) is seeking a detail-oriented and systems-focused Philanthropy Coordinator – Donation Management & Administration to support the integrity and administration of our donor operations.

This role is responsible for the accurate processing, reconciliation, and recording of donations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and CRA requirements. The position plays a critical role in maintaining donor data integrity and supporting financial accountability, while working collaboratively across Finance and Philanthropy teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process and record donations from multiple platforms, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain and manage donor records within CRM systems (Raiser’s Edge preferred)
  • Reconcile donations with financial records and support monthly reporting
  • Monitor and respond to donation-related inquiries through shared inboxes
  • Generate donation and fundraising reports to support organizational planning
  • Maintain clear procedures, workflows, and documentation for donor processes
  • Collaborate with Finance and Philanthropy teams to ensure data alignment and audit readiness


Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience in donation processing, database management, or financial administration
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and accountability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Experience with CRM systems (Raiser’s Edge NXT is an asset)
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information
  • Commitment to working in a trauma-informed, culturally safe, and Indigenous-led environment

Term: Full-Time Term Position
Location: Vancouver – Vancouver Public Library
Salary: $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 to start and will be dependent on skills and experiences.
Benefits: Annual Leave, Sick Leave, Cultural Days, Wellness Days, after 90 days - Employer paid benefits plan and GIA matched savings.
Status: Minimum 40-60% in office requirement; based on approval.
Deadline: Until filled with a qualified and aligned candidate.
